The first half of today went basically horribly.
My alarm goes off at 8:00; I get up more like 11:00. So, I've got this paper to finish by 15:00, and a meeting with my advisor at 13:30...
I don't bother with breakfast (if it was even still open then), I'm not really hungry, I just set to work. Well, no. First I check all the daily online things I check and play a few rounds of Minesweeper. Anyway, I figure it's about time I look on the teacher's comments on the draft we were supposed to turn in (I thought they always said they weren't going to do that anymore in college? I suppose just because this is Hum). It summarizes to (and in context, this actually made sense): "This is really neat! Rewrite the whole thing!" Well, crap. No time to do that. I finish what does exist instead.
So it's about 13:10 and I figure I'll go get some quick lunch before the meeting... wait... was that at 13:30 or 13:00? I think it was 13:00! So do I run back to the room to check, or just rush on over to Harper! I quickly decide to run back and check and find that it *is* at 13:00! I arrive probably about 20 minutes late, and have to wait because she's taken this as a chance to do her actual 13:30 meeting earlier.
Finally the meeting is over, I go back to the dorm, print out my essay, and eat a quick lunch (second-worst hamburger I've yet had here - the guy behind the counter, did he even really work here? He wasn't wearing a uniform... at any rate he was new, and he didn't realize he was supposed to put the hamburger back on the grill for a few seconds after taking it out of whatever the thing where they store them is called, and I didn't bother to tell him...), head immediately to Hum (being for once early rather than late), where I can turn in my essay but do little else as I hadn't time this weekend (OK, well, strictly speaking, I suppose I did, but I'll just ignore that) to do the reading or write a response. Yay.
Of course, *after* class, I immediately went to the bookstore and bought A Feast for Crows and have been reading it pretty much continuously since :D , save for this break to respond to an email my parents sent me several days ago, and then update this LJ as long as I was on. Well, also I'll have to do my CS homework at some point, but that will be easy...
