Conformal Univergence
Aug. 2nd, 2005 08:54 pmA misspeak that Chris made the other night and which I quickly found myself saying - even accidentally writing it on my problem set! (Then I realized I actually meant absolute convergence, anyway.)
Yeah... so my proof for my lab of the period's minimality is actually wrong; before I get back to my problem sets, first thing I should probably do is fix that.
Guest lecture today - Cleve Moler talking about MATLAB. Although this one wasn't really mathematical, he did manage to keep it interesting. After the lecture, some people went and played Tetris on his computer on the big projector. :D
So today in Geometry, we completed the proof of Banach-Tarski - a bit early, no? But last year, there were all these problems on the psets about symmetries of regular polyhedra; those are just appearing on the problem sets now. Maybe we will end with regular polytopes in Rn after all.
Yeah, I can't think of anything more to say.
