Gah! Too much Illuminati!
Jul. 30th, 2005 05:14 pmWell, last night there was a game of Illuminati, and, even though I had decided last week that I would not play any more Illuminati here, I figured, what the hell, I'll play, especially to try out the cards we'd added.
The game started at about 22:00 and went till about 3:00, when we finally decided this is getting ridiculous. We didn't bother to record the state or anything. We've all simply gotten too good at preventing anyone from winning. So yay, this now also frees up players for other games. :)
Today's variation on the Mandatory Fun skit was very strange and involved Bernie, Andy, and Elena getting up and dancing. I did not go to Mandatory Fun - the yearly dance - but I was with several counselors who did not either. Apparently there was much strangeness there this year - such as some people dressing up for it (?!) and such as them continuing it ridiculously long by allowing in people from other programs. There was not, so far as I could tell, a super-secret second year meeting this year - but then it was held in a very different place this year.
Today, as last year, there was a barbecue at Matt's house, and while I certainly did not miss it for the same reason as last year, I still did not go, as they woke me up at about 10:00 or 11:00 to go, and I was just way too tired. I ended up sleeping till about 15:00. Yeah, waking me up before 13:30 on a Saturday or Sunday for something I don't actually *have* to go to is generally a bad idea.
...yay pointless entries.
