Famous nerds to uplift and inspire
Jul. 9th, 2005 05:12 pmI forgot to write about this one before.
So our RA on the 8th floor is also a math nerd himself. He decorated our bulletin board with some basic topology proofs. Now, on every floor, there's always some weird thing next to everyone's nametag on their door, or perhaps a weird thing the name itself is written on - pictures of different types of balls (soccer ball, football, etc), different superheroes; on our floor, we have "Famous nerds to uplift and inspire". Each door name has next to it a little piece of paper saying "Famous nerds to uplift and inspire", a picture of said famous nerd, and his name. Generally - no, wait, always - they are fictional characters. So we have Brainy Smurf, Steve Urkel, the Blue Ranger, Milhouse van Houten, Martin Prince, Screech Powers, Stewie Griffin (not exactly a nerd, I don't think, but oh well).
A few days ago I came back to my room to find that my picture of Stewie Griffin had been replaced with one of Ben Yang. "Famous nerds to uplift and inspire: Benjamin Yang". So had Tom's, and so had Chris's and Ben Yang's itself. So I took mine down, replaced it with the Stewie Griffin from my roommate, and went over a few doors down to where it said "Michael" - I didn't really know that it was Michael Ty, but I figured I would do it anyway; I put the Ben Yang on there and took the Brainy Smurf and put it by Will (my roommate).
In fact, it was Michael Ty, so yay. He's also apparently the one that made them.
In other news, Josh actually lost at Illuminati again yesterday, this time to Rebecca. I don't think I've heard him curse so much since that time he got drunk. He was going to win with Chris but their plan kind of fell apart because Josh didn't realize Chris didn't have enough groups, and neither could throw the game to the other, and so Rebecca stepped in and won by herself (and this was a 6 player game, I should note - one of the other two players was Eli, I don't remember the other 2).

Oy oy oy, they're making even more Munchkin sets? They apparently made a Munchkin Fu 2 while I wasn't looking, Super Munchkin (the superhero version) is currently at the printers, and a Munchkin Bites 2 is in the works... they're eventually going to have to make a second Munchkin Blender, I figure... which is probably exactly what they want...
