I think I'll steal a picture from Pinyan's LJ as well...

Now, really, enough politics. (Hint: Don't trust that...)

So, Mickey was over yesterday, and, as you may recall, I have a pirated copy of every single SNES game ever, and he said he knew a really good fighting game that was only released in Japan, but he didn't remember the exact name, so he couldn't find it. But he did come across one of those Japanese dating games. Why not? Well, it seemed rather stupid as an actual *game* (rather virtual-pet-like), but just trying to screw the guy's life up was rather fun, even if we couldn't understand what anyone was saying or just how the game really worked. :D Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to actually get any of the girls angry at our character... (who, incidentally, Mickey accidentally entered in a girl's name for.)

In other news, "very" is now an adjective. As in, "That was a very typo."

I had this really weird dream last night. Here's what I remember of it.

At one point, my fingernails were feeling uncomfortable, so I tried to cut them, but it really hurt. Eventually I found that I had extra fingernails under my normal ones, and once I cut those off, it wasn't so bad. Also, at one point I found that I had cut off a fingernail that extended from *below* my finger, forming a point with my normal one, but I don't think it was actually like that at any point in the dream.

So there are these "for Dummies" books, all lined up in front of me - I'm not sure where I am, but they're lined up, floating, in a row of 4 and a row of 3 - and, somehow, I have the ability to actually go into the world of these books - so what if it's not a story?! I can do it anyway. The first one, I forget, but amazingly I got back to the point where I was outside of it, and, out of curiosity, I go into the second one, labled "Pete for Dummies". Pete *who*?, I'm wondering. So I go in and I'm on (in?) a giant pile of discarded plastic bottles, stretching as far as the eye can see, and I realize, "OH! PETE for Dummies!"

Eventually I find some kind of house, where - people are dressed up for Halloween? I'm not certain. Some of them were dressed scarily. There was something in the basement to avoid but I don't remember what. The basement doors looked like cabinet doors. Pete Marchetto is there but he looks entirely different.

We go outside - the world covered in plastic bottles seems to be gone now - and we start playtesting some game on some city street corner. It involves placing tiles, and some sort of sticky sort of thing which comes in different colors - like that blue stuff they use to stick stuff together - which was also placed on the ground, next to the tiles. Sometimes tiles were also placed on it. I kept eating it, however, because it tasted like Starbursts. I remember being certain that there was some rule that you could "mod out" by a certain tile, whatever that might mean in this context, and I was told no, you can't, I insisted you must be able to, you can do that in any game! (:-/)

There was also some part, not sure how it fits in, where I was with Jacob on some college campus where all the buildings (and all the grass surrounding them) were on enormous, steep (clifflike, really) artificial concrete hills, and the only way to get from one building to the next was to first climb down the steps, then go across the stream that wound through the place (thankfully you could just step over it), then climb back up the steps. I think this may actually have been the part where the thing with the fingernails happpened.

...so, yeah. :P
