Details and Mafia

On Thursday, Fergie was saying about how after having told just about every dirty joke in his repertoire to Sherry (and getting extra work for it), and finally going so far as to embed one straight in the middle of his proof of division algorithm, he has finally decided to try and get on her good side and undo what damage has been done, if possible. I tell him at that at this point it might be a better idea to just try and do as much damage as possible. He actually believes me for a second. :P
Bleh... I can't remember the other detail I wanted to post. Kind of defeats the purpose of doing a details post, doesn't it? :P
Anyway! Mafia. Or rather just some funny things from it:
Issao and I are Mafia. Steve is saying how he's inspector and Issao is Mafia and Dina is not. Issao is killed. Now, I had intended to get Dina killed that day, or at least to try, but now everyone knows she's not Mafia. Of course I should kill the inspector, but, I pull a total thinko and kill Dina (who is sitting right next to Steve) instead. Next day. Anton (God) tells us that the inspector has died. I think, I pointed at Dina, not Steve! Steve flips over his card, and, he is not the inspector! Now Dina dies because I killed her, and Steve dies for revealing his card!
I'm Mafia. Even number of players, so small night first. I wake up, I see Etienne is Mafia, I look for the other Mafia, I don't see him. I go back to sleep, I wake up. I totally forget that I am Mafia. Fergie picks me out as Mafia with his stunning intuition - though, presumably, whatever he was going on was actually wrong. Eventually I am killed, and, as I turn over my card, am amazed to see that it was black. The real question is, exactly what does this say about Fergie's intuition? :-/
Also during that game, I refer to Funto as "a loose cannon". Later, Mung says of somebody, "Well, at least he's not firing a cannon loosely."
I'm inspector. 5 people left. I've inspected Etienne, he's Mafia, Jeff, he's not, and Ian, he's not, so Etienne and Funto are the Mafia. I declare I'm inspector and point out the Mafia. Etienne immediately replies that *he's* inspector and that Funto and *I* are Mafia. But then Funto *also* says that he's inspector, and that Etienne and Jeff are Mafia! Everyone should have realized immediately how ridiculous what Funto was saying was, but they didn't. Of course they did when he claimed to have inspected all 4 remaining people in the 3 nights that had passed so far...
For the record, townspeople won that game.
An affine plane of order 4 looks really, really messy when you actually have to draw the thing... we thought of going to CVS and getting colored pencils so you can tell the lines apart, but we didn't.
