I was working on my bridge in EDD today, when someone - I forget who - comes into the room with a sheet with the Darwin fish printed on it repeatedly, and uses the paper cutter to cut it into individual fish. "Is this for Rajesh?" somebody asks.
Asking what's going on, I found out that some anonymous idiot sophomore creationist has gone up to Dr. Niedosik and insisted that she was offended by his use of Darwin fish etc throughout the room and insisted that he take them down, threatening to sue. He did so.
Well of course we the students - or, more specifically, Amit Sid and Mike Lazarro who started it, and Rajesh who has done a lot to propagate it, distributing the fish, and well, all of us who have taken one from him or someone else - decided we weren't going to stand for that, and started putting Darwin fish up on our lockers. (So far it's just been juniors and seniors - we haven't had the chance to spread it to the other grades yet.)
Well when Dr. Niedosik saw this, he thanked us for our support, but he also got really scared (funny to see him actually being cautious, after doing that Valentine's Day thing... or perhaps that's *why*...), and insisted we take them down. Well, we did so, though for a bit there was a bit of confusion as to whether he actually said that or not. But by the end of the day, they had all been removed from the lockers.
But of course Amit and Mike went and talked to the administration and made absolutely sure they realized this was an independent action on the part of the students and not supported (very definitely not supported :P ) by Dr. Niedosik, so tomorrow, they're going back up. (Though Niedosik may well ask us to take them down again, SFAWK.)
In other news, JUST 2 MORE DIGESTS...
Also... may I just say "Huh?!"
Gah. I got 1 75.5 on my Odyssey essay - due to the 1 point penalty per MLA error. Elsewise it would have been a 91.5... well, I made A- for the trimester, anyway.
And then there's the history essay... about 4 1/4 pages written so far... 3 3/4 left to go... plus the supplementary stuff...
ADDENDUM: Oh yeah, 3 people asked me today how to integrate cos3x/cosx dx. It was really weird. Well, no, it made perfect sense, but still...

You're Thailand!
Calmer and more staunchly independent than almost all those around you,
you have a long history of rising above adversity. Recent adversity has led to questions
about your sexual promiscuity and the threat of disease, but you still manage to attract a
number of tourists and admirers. And despite any setbacks, you can really cook a good
meal whenever it's called for. Good enough to make people cry.
