You know what? I'd rather not write this all over again, having it told it twice already. So here's the story, as told to Mickey:
(17:25:49) Sniffnoy: ehehehehe!
(17:25:52) Sniffnoy: OK

(17:25:57) Sniffnoy: at quiz bowl practice
(17:26:02) Sniffnoy: we actually had enough people and enough time
(17:26:04) Sniffnoy: for a full game
(17:26:09) Sniffnoy: hehe
(17:26:10) Sniffnoy: so
(17:26:12) Sniffnoy: our team
(17:26:16) Sniffnoy: we start out OK but behind
(17:26:17) Sniffnoy: but then
(17:26:21) Sniffnoy: we lose all our points
(17:26:27) Sniffnoy: we actually go down to -5
(17:26:34) Grenadier 32: ...not on purpose?
(17:26:41) Sniffnoy: I think that's pretty clear :P

(17:26:58) Sniffnoy: we start coming back
(17:27:03) Sniffnoy: now they're at like 100 points or so

(17:27:17) Sniffnoy: it's the last question
(17:27:28) Sniffnoy: we're behind by... let me figure this out

(17:28:13) Sniffnoy: (the asnwer was 'escalator', they said 'elevator')

(17:29:23) Sniffnoy: giving mythological clues
(17:29:27) Sniffnoy: when they can be seen, and such
(17:29:31) Sniffnoy: and finally, they end with
(17:29:54) Sniffnoy: "and one of them is traditionally said to leave money under children's pillows-" and the other team buzzes in
