We are still looking for volunteers for glider godfathers. We must have volunteers willing to perform this role to ensure continued aircraft availability. This is a good way for club members to learn a little bit about aircraft maintenance and to see for themselves what is necessary to keep an aircraft flying
(23:30:03) cielnuit99: This is excellent training for members who someday hope to own their own gliders. The godfather process is also a way for members to help keep the club operating smoothly. It is also relatively painless, as most of the time required can be accomplished during your visit to the operation to fly the aircraft.

(23:30:25) cielnuit99: We desperately need people who will keep the glider maintenance officer (and the Board of Directors) informed of the material condition of the club's aircraft. This will allow the aircraft to be kept available for members to fly, especially if we can identify potential problems and get them fixed before the aircraft is forced out of service. If there is a glider you fly frequently, volunteer to help keep it flying by becoming its godfather.
