Hey, this is like what we learned in PCS!
Nov. 4th, 2003 06:30 pmI would like to take this opportunity to note that I have calmed down considerably since last entry. :)
A few bizarrities from today...
At lunch, walking by her table, I hear Sara Raftery note that anyone who wants these can have them, and notice that the things she is referring to are French fries. Well, of course, I immediately take one, then, as soon as its in my mouth, another, and another...
After eating a few fries, I begin to notice 2 things:
1. Nobody else is eating them
and
B. They're a bit salty.
After eating a few more, I begin to realize that they are, in fact, *very* salty. Presumably Cathy had put salt all over them, as she was doing this to any food within her reach, but, of course, I wasn't there at the time and didn't see this. But I ate them anyway. All of them. So it shouldn't be at all surprising that when I finished eating them, I was certainly very thirsty. Leaving to go get a drink of water - a a very *long* drink of water, I should note - I said, "I'm going to go dilute myself."
Also, I've decided that you can turn anything into a turtle if you stare at it long enough. Last night I turned the word "oh" into a turtle by staring at it; unfortunately, it crawled away. I'm trying to turn my sister into a turtle, but it hasn't worked yet.
The new Nomicron turn has begin, and, along with Ouroboros's proposal to get rid of Nomichess (this is the 3rd turn in a row he has proposed it), there are 3 referenda up for vote, which say that we should simply clear the entire Nomichess board and start over (1 also states that we should unpaint the fence). Meanwhile, Jef has proposed a clarification to Officer Required Rules to eliminate this whole problem entirely. There's also a proposal to remove the fence entirely as well. I voted for both that clear the Nomichess board but not the fence, and for this clarification. Of course these aren't the only proposals out there, but probably the only ones that somebody who doesn't actually care about the game but reads those parts of my LJ about it anyway would care about. :)
