So, PROMYS is over. I'm back at my cousins' house again.
Last night:
After a game of Illuminati (illutree8.txt), Paco... wait, why am I skipping over the Illuminati game?!
OK...
I was Assassins, Steve was Network, Rebbecca was Cthulhu, Chris was AISB, Josh was Zurich, and Mung was SubGenius.
Early in the game, Josh offers me the possibility of a joint victory; we each get 3 violent groups, I get lots of money, we trade. I don't seriously consider it, it being so early in the game. I sort-of accept it as a sort-of long-term thing.
Apparently he made the same offer to everyone, and everyone did the same.
Skip a lot of interesting stuff I don't really remember...
Much later now. People have 5 or 6 groups. Mung has 6 - being SubGenius, that means he is only 2 away from winning. Many people decide is too close. I talk to Josh about it, and he agrees. However, he says, wait for next round; he's managed to convince Mung not to try and win this turn.
Why we all trusted him, I don't know.
Actually, he traded Mung 3 groups for a large load of cash. Mung and Josh win a joint victory, and people start wondering why they didn't accept.
Anyway, after the Illuminati game, Paco started showing SNL Celebrity Jeopardy - a whole bunch of them, continuously (it could have been all of them TTBOMK). Really great.
One group of people near the Illuminati game - rather, near the second one, and which I wasn't playing in - and which was playing with hidden Illuminati - Josh wanted to play with cheating (apparently he plays with cheating a lot, and he's really good at it), but nobody else would let him, so they played with hidden Illuminati instead - was blasting some really loud, annoying music. We decided to respond by playing John Williams - or possibly Hitchhiker's Guide - even louder. Unfortunately, we couldn't find loud enough speakers. Fizzle.
It was not until quite late that a Mafia game started, and I only played one game. But before the Mafia game was the Great American Spew-Off. It went like this: Shiyang had half an hour to drink a 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew. Fergie, meanwhile, would try to make him spew it. If he spewed, or did not finish the bottle, Fergie wins; if he finishes within the half hour, he wins. I know that at least 1 bet was placed on it, as I bet on it against Anton. (I was betting on Fergie.)
Shiyang lasted, as I recall, approximately 10 minutes. Check with
jonpin or
shiyang or someone else who would know for an accurate figure. He was doing quite well at first, but Fergie finally got him with a whole bunch in rapid succession, one about how to get a monkey out from up one's ass.
My alarm clock didn't go off, so my parents arrived while I was still sort-of getting out of bed. And they were quite annoyed I hadn't packed. But we finally packed and left, so now I'm here. I suppose I'll be home in a few days.
