After staying up till 4 last night[3] playing Fluxx and Gluck, I finally went to bed when my left eye started hurting spontaneously. I woke up at 7 today, barely tired at all. To test this, Chris played a game of Gnostica against me, which I won. He grudgingly admitted that I was awake after all, though he certainly may have had his doubts when at breakfast I tried to use the wrong end of the fork.

More on last night: I tried to teach a table in the East Lounge to play Gnostica, but it got confused. Then someone started saying that tables were essentially equivalent to air. I demonstrated the falsity of this repeatedly by attempting to stick my hand through the table, to no avail. The table also says it's not air, and I trust the table.

You know, it just occurred to me how pathetic my tendency to flinch at everything really is. Last night I jumped up and shielded my face when a house of cards collapsed (on the very last card, of course).

I finally did my laundry today, although in fact I should have done it yesterday and had to repeat clothes today. Nothing seems to have gone terribly wrong. Yet. Not counting the fact that most of the washers were down, since I still got it done.

But anyway. So the talent show is coming up in a week, and participation is mandatory. So the Council of Doom has decided to do a/some Monty Python sketch(es). We're having trouble deciding which one(s), though. I could say that the current general agreement is the self-defense lessons sketch, but I'd be wrong.

Jon Pinyan pointed out that a Moser is larger than Graham's Number. He's right. A Mega and a Megistron are both probably much larger, and a Moser is *way*, *way* larger. Look it up on Mathworld. There is no possible way that Graham's Number is even anywhere *close* to the size of a Moser. But a Moser has never been actually used for anything, so nyah.

[3]I've invented a new word to describe this time of day (night?) : "earlate".
