The surprise
Oct. 23rd, 2005 03:27 pmShuo found out I have an LJ (as everyone is now finding) said that she would like to be more often mentioned in it. I don't actually have anything else to say about her.
So as I've mentioned, Mike Toney has a copy of the SNES romset on his Xbox, and Friday night a bunch of people were in the lounge, browsing through the games, and they happened across one of the many pornographic slideshows included therein. Quickly they went looking for more, and quickly they found it. I don't think they quite realized they came with the set - their initial reaction was "Wow, Toney has all this"; I had to explain that, and noted that as I also have the set, I actually have it too. However, Toney (then asleep) was already the butt of the joke, so their response to that was just "Don't make yourself like Toney".
Someone went and wrote on Toney's whiteboard (orangeboard?) "Toney - we know - everyone." Also written was "Toney - you win!", which was the start of the name of one of these games. They spent about an hour looking at these while I played Mario downstairs. Finally they decided to leave the TV on one of the worst pictures - one involving a tentacle - as a surprise for whoever next entered the lounge. I had wanted to play Mega Man when they left, but I went along with it, although I turned the TV off, such that the surprise would be for whoever next turned on the TV, because I was afraid otherwise the image might be burned into the screen.
I ended up waking up at about 4:30 on Saturday, and asked who had gotten the surprise. Apparently nobody had. How disappointing.
